Cathleen Spurgeon Ligons Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 6, 2021, at the age of 76, Cathleen Spurgeon Ligons of Trimble, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Spurgeon and Anna Laura Adair Spurgeon; her husband Cecil Ligons, Jr.; her sons, Randy Jones and James Ligons; and her siblings, Robert "Jabo" Spurgeon, Ray Spurgeon, Mary Boswell and Faye Ellis.

She is survived by: her children, Lee Rikard (Tammy) of Troy, Terry Hopper (Helen) of Oakland, Tennessee and Cathy McDonald of Trimble, Tennessee; and her sister Betty Lund of Salem, Michigan. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ligons was a homemaker, member of the Tennessee Sheriff's Association and an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society.
