She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Hilliard and Mary Jane Atkins Williams; her husband Ethridge Henry Adkisson; and her children, Mattie Eugenie Taylor and Oscar Priest Adkisson.

She is survived by: her children, Mabel Irene Kelly (Billy) of Greenfield, Mary Hestella Brown of Hopkinsville, KY, Angelene Moore (Robert) of Lexington, KY, Lula Bell Williamson of Detroit and Earl Ethridge Adkisson (Lurlene) of Atwood. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 21 Great-great grandchildren and five great-great great grandchildren.
