With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dora Murphy Hooper (Trezevant, Tennessee), born in Huntingdon, Tennessee, who passed away on February 13, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Murphy and Frances Fuller Murphy; her husband John D. Hooper; her stepdaughter Nina Hooper; her grandson Justin Hooper; and her great grandchild Adilynn Morgan.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Montgomery of Bradford, Sandra Montgomery (Tracy Forrest) of Bradford, Deborah Harper (Ira) of Bradford and Angela Mayfield of Camden; her stepchildren, Janie Hooper, Lindy Hooper, Lloyd Hooper (LeAnn), Frank Hooper (Ginger) and John Hooper, Jr. (Marie); and her siblings, Emma Mae Waller (Gary) of Humboldt, Lloyd Earl Murphy of Milan and Larry Joe Murphy (Sharon) of Humboldt. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
