She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Pitts and George Thomas; her husband William Lee Bobbitt; her son James Lynn Bobbitt; and her siblings, J. L. Thomas, Lillian Iren Thomas, Laura Mai Thomas Russell and Jannie Thomas.

She is survived by: her children, Dovie Jenkins (Bill), William Lee Bobbitt Jr. (Janet) and Melvin Dewayne Bobbitt; and her grandchildren, Antwann, Tiffany, Jeremy, Jennifer and Jessica. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and close friends.
