He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Frank Cavaness (Dorothy Baker Cavaness) and Joyce Alford Cavaness Wilson (Charles Wilson); and his brother Jeff Cavaness. He is survived by: his wife Susan Cavaness of Trenton, Tennessee; his children, Robert Cavaness of Nashville, John Cavaness (Tanna) of Gadsen, Matt Cavaness (Megan) of Trenton, Tennessee and Dana Welch (Mike) of Yorkville; and his grandchildren, Maddie Stephens (Charleston), Rebecca Welch, Lane Cavaness, Jake Cavaness, Davy Cavaness, Will Cavaness and Bryndle Cavaness.
