She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Frederick Garnes, Jr. and Alice Ann Garnes; her former husbands, Jess Darrell Strickland and Ed Marcum; her daughter April Renee Rowland; her brothers, William Garnes and Robert Garnes; and her niece Melissa Garnes-Wojcik.
She is survived by: her daughters, Emily Anderson (Thomas Mathis Stovall II) and Kimberly Ellis (Ira Kevin Muncy, Jr.); her grandchildren, Keadon Anderson, Chase Muncy, Zoey Muncy and Riley Muncy; her siblings, Teresa (David Grigsby), Brenda Garnes (Chris Clark), Becky (Harry Barber) and Walter "Bub" Garnes, III (Judy) of Vinton, OH; her close friends, Lisa York and Laurie Ponn; and her pet Mighty Titan. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
