She was predeceased by: her father David Joe Tanner; and her daughters, Sara Ida Bell Smith and Chelsea Marie Smith. She is survived by: her mother Juanita Ott Tanner; her husband James O. Smith; her children, James David Smith (April Dawn), Travis Miles (Kayla), Kala Juanete Smith, Felicia Steinwinter (David), Shasta Lynn Smith and Kylie Mae Smith; her siblings, Teddy Cornette, Mark Cornette, Anna Davis, Alice Cagle and Nacrina Castro; her grandchildren, Chandler Steinwinter, Hunter Miles, Trinity Miles, James Smith, Wesley Smith, Jefferson Smith and Emily Smith; her aunt Annie Henry; and her close friends, Susan and Jaylin Hanner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; other family members.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tate Funeral Home (950 Mel Dixon Ln, Jasper, TN 37347). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (199 Pleasant Grove Rd, Jasper, TN 37347).
