She was predeceased by: her parents, Denton Cox and Bertie Lee Cooley Cox; her stepfather Louis McCuiston; her son John Schwartz; and her brother Earl "Bo" Cox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tanya McKelvy (Gerald), Carla Miller, Linda, Tina and Nancy; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katherine Miller, Amanda, Heaven, Sandy and Tara; her sister Carol Hughes; her nieces and nephews, Amy, Tammy, Robert and Derrick; and her close friends, Liz, Jo Ann and Susan. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
