She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob Hogan Gardner; her parents, William Dellinger and Hilda Schantz Dellinger; and her brothers, John Dellinger (Mary) and Dick Dellinger (Norma).

She is survived by: her children, MaryAnn Gay (Andy), David Gardner (Norma), Paul Gardner (Melanie), Susan Gardner (Bud Alexander) and Elizabeth May (Jim); her grandchildren, Eliot Gardner Gay, Tammy Crane (Matt), Don Russell (Jill), Scott Russell, Lindsey Waugh (Justin), Shelby Pinkston (Alex), Margaret May Huntley (Ryan), Jacob May (Jeane), Abbie Alexander, Corrie Alexander-Willette (Ryan) and Gray Alexander; her great grandchildren, Dalton, Riley Crane, Bryson, Baylor Russell, Katelyn, Hannah Grace, Everett Waugh, Maclaine, Graham Pinkston, Thomas Willette and Harvey May; and her sister-in-law Helen Gardner Anderson.
