He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Meeks and Clara Louise Meeks (Pocus); and his sister Charlotte Gayle Meeks. He is survived by: his wife Naomi Meeks (Roberts); his children, Phillip Meeks and Elizabeth Farris (Jeff); his siblings, Tom Meeks (Randa) of Coalmont, David Meeks of St. Augustine, FL, Barbara Hill (Tony) of Hixson, TN, Judie Jacobs of Atlanta, GA, Kaye Durham (Terry) of South Pittsburg and Sheila Gallagher (Bobby) of Pelham, TN; his brother-in-law Kenneth Roberts of Jasper, TN; and his grandchildren, Jacob Meeks, Isaiah Meeks, Addison Meeks, Caleb Stiefel and Abigail Stiefel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Funeral Home, Inc. (96 Clair St, Tracy City, TN 37387). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
