With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria Farley Overbey of Tracy City, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 24, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Page Davis and Joye Eloise Bryan Davis. She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Overbey; her sister Sheila Gaye Eastman Gould; her brother-in-law Mike Weatherby; her niece Angela Joyce Eastman; her nephew J. W. Gifford; her sibling-in-law Gib Overby; her sons, Michael James Farley (Laura) of Texas and Steven Ray Farley (Irene) of Texas; her sister Merry Lynn Weatherby; and her grandchildren, Chelsea, Shonni, Trey, Shane, Troy, Jake, Maggie, Emma, Janette, Eric, Isaiah, Luke, Genisia and Jonah. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Layne Funeral Home (182 Fitchtown Rd, Altamont, TN 37301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the Bryan Cemetery (320 Bryan Cemetery Rd, Morrison, TN 37357).
