It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Hampton of Tracy City, Tennessee, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Lockhart and Lily Nunley Lockhart; her husband Jimmy Hampton; her grandchildren, Linda Curtis Pintye and Derrick Layne; and her siblings, Dick, Oscar, Leonard, Henry, Andrew, Dewey, Mutt, Flora, Beulah, Della, Vesta, Margie, Hilda and Helen.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Hawkins (Rick) and James Hampton (Lisa); her grandsons, Greg Curtis (Tiffany), Michael Layne and Christopher Layne (Brittany); her great grandchild Lyndon Curtis; her brother Milton Lockhart; and her grandson-in-law Michael Pintye.
