He was predeceased by: his parents, Tyson Smith and Juanita Brown Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Gheesling Smith; his brother Kimball Smith; his sons, Tyson Scott Smith (Stephanie), Matthew Smith and Jake Smith; his stepchildren, Jason Conner (Kelly), Lance Conner and Rachel Conner Woodburn (Josh); and his granddaughters, Hallie Conner and Ansley Woodburn.
