Though Johnnie Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Johnnie Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Avery Lail and Lillie Lail; her brother Ralph Lail; and her nephew Caleb John Hurst. She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Frye; her son-in-law Mike Shields; and her siblings, Tommy Lail (Linda) of Virginia, Sammy Lail (Betty) of Arkansas and Linda Hurst Lail. She is also survived by four nephews: several great nieces; one great nephew; many loving cousins.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Calendar Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church Cemetery (7322 Old Tuckaleechee Rd, Townsend, TN 37882).
