He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita "Bug" Lail; his son Ralph Andrew Lail; and his grandson Caleb Hurst. He is survived by: his children, Tommy Ray Lail of Swoope, Johnnie Mae Lail of Townsend, Sammy Vineyard Lail and Linda D. Hurst of Townsend; and his siblings, John Lail and Evelyn Ledbetter.
