It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Howard Burkeen of Tiptonville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wilbur Burkeen and Treva Mae Burkeen; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Mamie Evans; his brother L. W.; his sister-in-law Velvaleen Burkeen; and his nephew Teddy Burkeen.
He is survived by: his wife Marita Evans Burkeen of Tiptonville; his children, Lori Burkeen Dowdy (Richard), Larry Wayne Burkeen (Evelyn) and Lisa Burkeen Butler (Alan); his grandchildren, Laken Burkeen, April Burkeen, Ashlyn Jackson (Matt), Tiffany Dowdy, Jordan Dowdy and Kaylan Mays (Nathan); his great grandchild Finley Silas Jackson; and his nieces and nephews, Terry Burkeen, Timmy Burkeen, Tina Burkeen and Twila Lansford.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life is being planned in Lake County TN at a later date.
