With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Jane Vernon of Tiptonville, Tennessee, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Gordon Hyde and Ruby Jane Perkins Hyde; and her husband Phillip Vernon. She is survived by: her children, Christy Alexander (Jeff) of Martin, TN, Joe Vernon (Sabrina) of Ridgely, TN and Jon Vernon (Elizabeth) of Tiptonville, TN; her brother Jerry Thomas (Cheryl) of Collierville, TN; and her granddaughters, Chelsea Wilson, Melanie Baggett, Pamela Vernon and Jessica Chambers. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
