He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Pierce and Maggie Michaelcheck Pierce; and his siblings, Jerry Pierce and Marie Herr. He is survived by: his wife Shirley McBride Pierce; his children, Ernie "Skipp" Pierce III (Teresa), William David Pierce, Susan Harned, Karen Hulme and Sharon Morehead (Andy); his grandchildren, Maggie Pierce, Deanna Moore, Ann Lillian Pierce, Eric Harned, Carrie Ruth Hulme, Collin Hulme, Meredith Callens, Jacob Callens and Morehead of Montana; his great grandchild Bracey Moore; and his sister Elaine Landrum.
The family request that memorials be directed to the Tiptonville First United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
