He was predeceased by: his parents, Cas Newton Joyce and Maggie Neely Manns Joyce; and his brothers, Bobby "Bub" Hodoe, James "Shorty" Joyce and Ernest.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Joyce of Tiptonville; his children, Billy Cas Joyce of Tiptonville and Maranda Jean Joyce of Tiptonville; his siblings, Finis Joyce of Lake Commarant, MS, Bonnie Stoneburner (Tom) of Ridgely, Barbara Henson (Lilbern) of Ridgely and Betty Hopper (Tommy) of Hornbeak; and his grandchildren, Bryce T. Joyce, Hayden Coudriant, Gavin Joyce, Chase Joyce, Raven Goodwin and Joey Joyce.
