She was predeceased by: her parents, Banaultha Calloway Howerton and Safronia Hays Howerton; her husband John D. Glidewell; her son Bobby D. Glidewell; and her siblings, Milton D. Howerton, Dewitt Howerton, Carlos Howerton, Jewel Howerton, Salma Woods, Lois Mitchel, Evelyn Grimard, Velva Howerton and Laura Faye Williams.

She is survived by: her daughter Joanie Hopper (Terry) of Phillippy, TN; her grandchildren, Jeremy Hopper, Misty Stanley and Corey Glidewell; and her great grandchildren, Caroline Hopper, Carson Hopper, Jaxon Stanley, Jillian Stanley, Logan Glidewell, John Glidewell and Emily Glidewell.
