She was predeceased by: her parents, R. C. Smith and Mary Taylor Smith; her husband Omar Pitts; her sisters, Ardelle, Jean, Mae, Ivean and Cleo; her son-in-law Don Arvin; and her children, Britt Pitts (Hedy) of Decatur, Judy Arvin of Corpus Christi, Ken Pitts (Judi) of Union City and Kathy Burns (Alan) of Pickens. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 38 great-great-grandchildren.
