He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Cope and Rhonda Cope; and his son Douglas Cope. He is survived by: his wife Lois Cope; his children, Patricia Cope, Stephanie Cope, Mary Holt (Johnny), Bradley Cope, Micheal Cope and Roger Cope; his grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kaiser, Johnny, Layna and Travis; his stepgrandchild Kassidy Cooper; and his siblings, Leroy Cope, James Cope, Edith Collins, Dolly Collins and Geraldine Cope Vanover.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM at the McNeil Funeral Home (124 Church St, Sneedville, TN 37869). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
