He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Sue Veach Tomlin; his son Robert Oakley Tomlin; and his sisters, Katherine Tomlin, Ruby Poteete, Lois Givens and Mildred Tomlin.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Tomlin and Diane Tomlin; his brother John Lee Tomlin; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Ann Watkins and Martha Frost. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
