He is survived by: his wife Doris Davis; and his children, Melvin Gene Davis (Randi), James David Davis (Suzanne), Joey Daniel Davis (Rosie), Brittney Nichole Hobbs (C. J.) and Gwedolyn Davis. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
