He is survived by: his wife Melissa Schmidt; his children, Candice Ray (Justin) and Chauncey Schmidt (Charleen); his siblings, Rodney Schmidt (Debbie), Nina Markin (Glenn) and Caronetta Claxton; and his grandchildren, Maverick Ray, Cassidy Ray, Chandler Schmidt and Charlotte Schmidt.
