He was predeceased by: his parent John Gilbert; and his sisters, Betty Skaggs and Martha Freeman. He is survived by: his parent Lula Barnes Miller; his wife Janet Miller; his daughters, Dana Miller and Dara Smith (Derik); his siblings, Jene Napoli, John Miller Jr, Earl Miller, Shirley Kipp and Gloria Lane; and his grandchildren, Bubby Smith, Alexander Smith and Hannah Smith.
