He was predeceased by: his son William "Billy" Thurman Jr.; his parents, Elmer White and Minnie Longmire Sweat White; his sister Hope New; his grandparents, William Hubert, Maude Clower White, George T. and Tennie Longmire Sweat; and his parents-in-law, Oplis and Mary Ann Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Stewart White of Ten Mile; his daughter Tina Napier (Craig) of Franklin; his grandchildren, Lyndsay Napier of Franklin and Brad Napier of Franklin; his siblings, Tom White (Loretta) of Crossville, Wanda Taylor of South Carolina and Kathy Ward of Wartburg; and his sister-in-law Faye Ramsey of Cookeville Several.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Dodson Branch Cemetery (285 Old Dodson Branch Rd, Cookeville, TN 38501).
