He is survived by: his siblings, Dewey William Ayers (Betty) of Sweetwater and Dorothy Letterman-Lawhon; his brother-in-law Jesse "Bear" Lawhon of Loudon; his children, David Brian Ayers, Scott Corey Ayers of Ten Mile and Stacy Marcella Ayers-Tallent; his son-in-law Richard Tallent, Jr. of Ten Mile; and his grandchildren, Dylan A. Tallent, Brandon L. Tallent, Elizabeth A. Ayers, Jackson E. Ayers, Bridget Catlett-Hakes (Robert), Eli A. Dunn (Brietta) and Robert E. L. Ayers.
