He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Taylor and Mary Lou Shell; his stepfather Doc Shell; and his siblings, Sue Taylor, Ada Dalton, Millishan Shell, Charles "Chuck" Taylor, Charlie Bryson, Les Taylor, Jr., Raymond Taylor and Paul Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Taylor of Athens, Joe Taylor (Krystal Miller) of Vonore and David Taylor of Tellico Plains; his siblings, Jan Thomas (David) of Tellico Plains, Evelyn Runion (Chris) of Athens, Lorene Powers (Roger) of Tellico Plains, Bridget Powers (Brooks) of Tellico Plains, Wendy Williams (Hank) of Madisonville, Phillip "Pooch" Taylor (Patty) of Tellico Plains and Darrell "Bat" Taylor of Tellico Plains; his siblings-in-law, Carol Taylor of Penny Holder and Dean Dalton; his grandchildren, Olijah Bradford, Cassidy Taylor, Deiontay Brown, Kayden Taylor, Colt Taylor and Paris Taylor; and his great grandchild Drayden Jenkins. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
