We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2021, at the age of 89, Roberta Franklin Childress of Tellico Plains, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Bill Childress; her parents, Rev. McCoy and Mary Steenrod Franklin; her siblings, Mayme Glover, Alice Baker and Bruce Franklin; and her siblings-in-law, Ola Mae Franklin, Pat Franklin, Becky Franklin and Drex Baker.
She is survived by: her daughter Beth C.; her son-in-law Bill Briggs of Georgia; her son Timothy; her daughter-in-law Sandy Childress of Tellico Plains; her grandchildren, Aaron (Ashley Briggs) of Brentwood, McKenzie (Mark Riden) and Cierra Inman McRary of Tellico Plains; her great grandchildren, Ansel Briggs, Beatrice Briggs of Brentwood, Connor Riden of Cleveland, Lucy Riden of Tellico Plains, Crew McRary of Tellico Plains and Cross Riden; and her brothers, Doug Franklin of Huntsville, AL, Mack (Betty Franklin) and McCoy Franklin of Fredericksburg, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
