He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shoemaker (Jimmy) and Nettie McCosh Shoemaker; his siblings, Wayne, Leroy, Benny, Albert and Janey Shoemaker; his grandson Ronald P. Toren II; and his brothers-in-law, Truel Brazewell, Theril Montooth and Charles Wilkins.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Patterson Shoemaker of Tellico Plains; his son Eric Daly of Lenoir City; his daughter-in-law Carmen Arbogast Shoemaker of Lenoir City; his daughter Donna Shoemaker of Powell; his son-in-law Ronald Toren of Powell; his grandchildren, Kelsey R. Shoemaker of Lenoir City and Victoria L. Toren of Powell; his brother Merle Shoemaker of Sweetwater; his sister-in-law Shirley Shoemaker of Sweetwater; and also, Joyce Brazewell of Carnesville, GA, Rene Goodman Shoemaker of Sweetwater, Frances Wilkins of Sweetwater, Carol Denton, Cecil Denton of Madisonville, Linda Smathers, Wayne Smathers of Seymour and Joy Patterson Montooth of Trinidad, TX. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends.
