He is survived by: his wife Cathy McElveen Witt Cardin of Tellico Plains; his sisters, Jane Wyatt (Harold) of Cedartown, GA and Joyce Carlton (Kirby) of Moultrie, GA; and his children, Ty Cardin (Bobbi) of Charleston, TN, Tracy Cardin Thomas (Vance) of Valdosta, GA, JoCarl Cardin (Laura) of Moyock, NC, Christy Mayr (Jay) of Atlanta, GA, Lauren Turton of Knoxville, TN, Jennifer Palmer (Brandon) of Americus, GA, William Turton (Summer) of Elko, GA, Kari Stringer (Joshua) of Fitzgerald, GA and Brooke McKinney of Buford, GA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
