He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Sue Stewart Bivens; his parents, Mose Bivens and Eula Gourley Bivens; and his siblings, Della, Tina, Daisy, Phillip, Allen and William.
He is survived by: his sisters, Dorothy Watkins, Fannie Young and Betty Orr Glass; his nephews, Ray and Jerry Cline; and his stepchildren, Lynn Franks and Robert Smythers. He is also survived by Several other nieces & nephews.
