He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Johnson and Etta Arrowood Johnson; his children, William Earl Johnson, Jr. and Tammy Renae Johnson; and his sister Henrietta Walters.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Henderson Johnson; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Johnson, Charles "Tommy" Johnson (Brenda), Susie Finkle and Sandra Johnson. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
