He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Minerva Woodward (Herrell); his in-laws, Herbert and Treba Campbell of New Tazewell, TN; and his siblings, Bessie Rice, Peggy Gable (Maggie), Virginia Coldiron, Hazel Carter, Reva Smith, John E. Woodward Jr. and Thomas Woodward.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Woodward (Odom) of Tazewell, TN; his children, Mitzi Woodward of Knoxville, TN and David Woodward (Jolene) of Powell, TN; his stepsons, Scott Odom (Hailey McDaniel) of Tazewell, TN and Brian Odom (Amy) of Harrogate, TN.; his granddaughters, Olivia Odom of Tazewell, TN and Hannah Odom of Knoxville, TN; his stepgrandchild Rylie Ditty of Harrogate, TN.; his nephews, Randall and Ralph Carter of New Tazewell, TN; and his close friends, Tim, Whitney, Dylan and Ryan Snelson of Tazewell, TN.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cave Springs Cemetery (1506 Cave Springs Rd, Tazewell, TN 37879).
