He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Mackins Jr. and Gracie Gulley Mackins; and his stepson James Edward Evans. He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Sue Evans; and his stepchildren, Rhondia Cosby, Shelia Monty, Dennis Evans and Carlos Lee Evans.
