She was predeceased by: her parents, Lincoln Hager and Nellie Bays Hager; her daughters, Jonda Thomas and Melissa Lundy; and her sister Pat Nelson.

She is survived by: her husband John Kent McDowell; her son Robert Thomas; and her siblings, Paul Hager, Mike Hager and Rena Hager.
