He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Earls and Ruth Bunch Earls; his siblings, Lee Roy and Nancy Mills; his grandson Bobby A. Lanham; his stepson James Bradley Williams; and his son-in-law Bryan K. Lanham.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Earls; his brother David Earls (Melinda); his daughters, Tammy Rouse and Amanda Tuttle; his stepsons, Gregory Williams (Amy Evans) and Shawn Williams; his grandchildren, Chasity Lanham, Tiffany Ellison (Ricky), Kelsey England (Johnathan Eldridge) and Haley Williams Alyssa England (Darrell); and his great grandchildren, Christopher Ellison and Elizabeth Rouse.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Claiborne~overholt Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jones Cemetery.
