He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward F. Overton and Mary Cornelia Overton; and his siblings, Bryon, Clyde, Curtis, Fred, Clarence Overton, Maurine Overton, Rachel Fugate and Kathleen Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Overton; his children, Joe (Annette Overton) and Glenda Gill (John Linda Steele); his granddaughter Holly Steele Jonathan Gill (Kim Melissa Cooley); his great grandchildren, Bayley Gill, Lydia Cooley and Sarah Cooley; and his sister-in-law Joyce Overton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many other loving friends and relatives.
