She was predeceased by: her son Michael Venable (Bonita) of Tazewell, TN; her parents, Ben Cinniamon and Edna Cinniamon of Tazewell, TN; her parents-in-law, Lucille and James Carter of Trenton, MI; her stepdaughter Rachel North; and her siblings, Helen Phillips of Cleveland, TN, Imogene Tighe of Tazewell, TN and Frank Cinniamon of Tazewell, TN..
She is survived by: her husband Ray Carter of Tazewell, TN; her daughter Teresa Venable of Tazewell, TN; her siblings, Audrey Widner (Parlon) of New Tazewell, TN, Mildred Ramsey (Wayland) of Tazewell, TN, Debbie Cinniamon of Tazewell, TN, Kenneth Cinniamon (Nellie) of Tazewell, TN and Eddie Cinniamon (Cathy) of Tazewell, TN; and her stepchildren, Marlene Somogye (Ron) of Florida, Dana Bergman of Florida and Doug Carter (Rozetta) of Colorado. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends, along with her church family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel (1106 TN-33, New Tazewell, TN 37825). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Cemetery.
