She was predeceased by: her son Jason Buchanan; her parents, Hubert Wells and Otie Wells; her brothers, Don Wells and Lynn Wells; and her brother-in-law Dan Neely.

She is survived by: her husband Jim Buchanan of Tazewell, TN.; and her sister Pat Neely of New Tazewell, TN.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
