He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay McCarter; his mother Virginia Watkins McCarter; his sons, Randall Jason McCarter (Jackie) of Karns, TN and Blake McCarter (Megan); his siblings, Gary L. McCarter (Cathy) and Sharen McCarter of Morristown; his grandchildren, Karissa Newman, Jaycee McCarter of Karns, TN, Preston Scott "Scotty" McCarter and Wrenna Sloane McCarter of Morristown; and his stepchildren, Lora Mullins (Chad) of Russellville and Jeremy Smith of Talbott.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (3521 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens (812 E Broadway Blvd, Jefferson City, TN 37760).
