With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jewelle Kate Shockley of Talbott, Tennessee, who passed away on November 8, 2024 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jewelle Kate Shockley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Roy E. Shockley; her mother Ida Kinsler (Johnson); and her siblings, Waylon, Coba, Clifford, Jasper, Hobert, Ray, Odessa, Ella, Calvie, Mary and Euna.
She is survived by: her children, Michael A. Shockley (Mitzi), David W. Shockley and Sandra L. Hodge (Tony); and her grandchildren, Chris Shockley (Rachel), Cindy Shockley, Matt Hodge (Carrie), Codie Whaley (Caleb), Colby Shockley and Tyler McMahan. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the East Chapel (200 Jaybird Rd, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
