He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Gibbons and Lucille Gibbons; and his brother Michael Gibbons. He is survived by: his sons, Todd Gibbons and Link Gibbons (Krystal); his former wives, Gail Mays and Patty Gibbons; his sister-in-law Phyllis Gibbons; and his nieces, Jennifer Conyac (Michel) and Amber Frynkewicz (Ted).
