He is survived by: his children, Cindy Sparkman (Dan) of Guntersville, AL and Walter Honea (Sindi) of Taft, TN; his grandchildren, Lindsey Arinze (Amaechi), Garret Honea (Lauren) and Jared Honea; his stepgrandsons, Jeremy Sparkman and Brian Sparkman (Amber); and his pet Lilly. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
