He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Watson and Beulah Mae Mason Watson; his wife Patsy Darlene Russell Watson; his son Stephen Watson; his grandchildren, Peyton King and Shawn Watson; and his sisters, Vina Daughtery, Sue Grant and Martha Duff.
He is survived by: his sons, Chris Watson (Ginger) of Cleveland, Jason Watson (Brandi) of Cleveland, Joseph "Joey" Watson (Pam) of Reliance and Christopher "Topper" Eaton of Tellico Thirteen; and his brothers, Jack Watson (Marlene) of Sweetwater, Clarence Watson (Wilma) of Englewood, Larry Watson (Kathy) of Madisonville, Dewight Watson (Phyllis) of Corbin and Leroy Watson (Nancy) of Madisonville Along. He is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
