He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lane Smith Sr. and Viola Hurst Smith; his sisters, Elaine Smith and Sandra Smith; his brother-in-law Wilbert Smith; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Smith and Jacob Smith (John Macon).
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Joyce Smith of Sweetwater, TN.; his children, Terry Moore of Johnson City, TN., Corey Smith and Jamie Smith of Sweetwater, TN.; his brothers, Lionel 'Train Smith, Michael Ray Smith Sr. (Amber Marie) and Ronnie Lee Smith; his brother-in-law Clifford Stanley of Detroit, MI.; his aunt Zella Mae Smith of Niota, TN.; and his nephew Lionel Smith Jr. (Tommy Johnson).
There will be a walk through visitation from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p. m. at the funeral home prior to the service and in compliance with COVID- 19 the family request that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing, and limit the wear of cologne and perfume because of family members with allergies.
