He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Toomey and Myrtle Toomey; and his siblings, Keith Toomey, Gwen Smith and Mildred Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Inez Toomey; his children, Billie Franks of Knoxville, Patti Bates (Monty) of Braselton, GA and Michael Toomey (Patricia) of Seymour; his grandchildren, Cody Franks (Laura) of Nags Head, NC., Patrick Bates (Alicia) of Jefferson, GA, Adam Bates (Michelle) of Kaneohe Bay, Brock Toomey (Clara) of Knoxville, Brian Toomey of Knoxville and Summer Boham (David) of Apex, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Maxton, Matalie, Mallory, Sophie, Mason, Aiden, Caleb, Ansley and Tinley.
A memorial donation may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
