She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Porter and Zelma Porter; her brother Teddy Lee Porter; and her siblings-in-law, Gerald Wayne Wheeler, Rex Allen Wheeler, Ronald Blake Wheeler, Susan Charlece "Cookie" Wheeler and Linda Galye "Cookie" Wheeler.
She is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Keith Wheeler, Anne Wheeler, Kevin Wheeler, Trish Wheeler, Isaac, Kellie, Ella, Tyler, Rob, Mattie, Shea and Gracie Wheeler; and her sisters-in-law, John Fredrick "Freddy" Wheeler (Betty) of Waco, James Mitchell "Mickey" Wheeler of Madisonville and Dennis Steve Wheeler (Annette) of Vonore She.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Sweetwater, First Presbyterian Church Sweetwater, or to the Shirley Wheeler piano fund at Tennessee Wesleyan University.
