He was predeceased by: his wife Marty Shoemaker; his son Russell Shoemaker; his parents, Arrie Shoemaker and Frannie Mae Shoemaker; his siblings, Donald, Larry, Fosteen Shoemaker and Helen Ray; his stepdaughter Trudy Boiling; and his grandson Travis Boiling.
He is survived by: his siblings, Diane Thornhill (Tommy), Mary Lynn, Richard Shoemaker, Janice Cook, Peggy Cook (Jerry), Ronnie Haney (Melody), Deborah Cook (Joe) and Jimmy Haney (Michelle); his son Samuel Bearden (Brenda); his grandchildren, Jeremy Shoemaker, Matthew Shoemaker, Christopher Bearden (Ashley) and Gleen Bearden; his great grandchildren, Hailey Shoemaker, Raelynn Shoemaker, Abigail Bearden and Xia Bearden; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Shoemaker. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
